Draw Something, Star Wars Edition

So I haven't posted for a while. I'm not really going to apologize, since I know it'll happen again. But I did wan to put up some stuff I've done on Draw Something this last month.

So for the first part of the month, it's been business as usual with random characters and stupid puns.

Disco, as in "Disco Stu" from The Simpsons

Poker. I was trying to draw Poker-Face. Get it?
Yeah, I know it's a bit of a stretch.

Hamster. Remember those hip hop hamsters from the Kia commercials?

Pray. Threw a little bit of Mormonism in there too.

Puck. One of the funnier gags from Toy Story.

JLo. It's a self portrait because people call me J-Low around here. 

So then a friend named Elisabeth gave me the idea to do Fandom Draw Something. It's where you pick a fandom at the beginning of a game and make everything relate to that fandom. 

Thing is, I wasn't feeling social enough to actually ask everyone to do a fandom with me, so I just went ahead and sent everyone Star Wars related pictures for words that aren't related to star wars at all. I hope my friends didn't mind.

Lobster. I think it would be kinda funny to watch a Jedi - Sith battle
where the lightsabers are replaced with lobsters.

Spock giving the bird to Yoda. I do try to keep things PG on here.

Hangman. Which Jar Jar Binks would be really bad at.

See, to me, Star Wars is the first thing I ever geeked out to. I remember watching the original trilogy at the age of five and falling in love with it, and then getting all excited for the new trilogy when I was in 4th grade. I'm old enough now to understand how awful the prequels are, but Star Wars holds a special place in my heart.

I've Come Out of Draw Something Retirement

Yes, after leaving the game for almost 6 months, I'm back into Draw Something. And my pictures are getting more elaborate than ever.

I made some cutesy pics at the start:

Sugar. As in Sugar Mama. Seriously, do you remember this show??

And then I decided to just go all out and throw in tons of stuff like anatomy, shading, backgrounds, etc...

Crossbow. In case you didn't guess from the 'brains' drawing,
 I watch "The Walking Dead." And if Daryl (or Glen) dies, I will riot.

Eminem. I was going for that iPod commercial look.

And of course, I had to draw some Hitlers in my pictures.

Looking back on this picture, I just feel bad. The word is Japan, but I drew Korea. Which, coincidentally, has the exact same number of letters. I am not a nice person.

I finally made something in Illustrator that doesn't look like poop.

After a long time reading an online tutorial, and an even longer time trying to figure out how to use the pen tool, I finally made something in Illustrator I think is worth sharing.

How to be a Troll in Draw Something: Part 3

I haven't played Draw Something in forever, but I've still got a bunch of pictures that'd I'd like to share.

I was sent a couple recently that I thought were pretty creative. Shout-out to Alejandra for the art skills.

So I've put together some of the drawings I recently made. My goal has always been to be creative, funny, or irrelevant. I'll try to have some level of organization here.

If I had more time, I would have made this one especially awesome.

Going off the Wizard of Oz theme, I think this is one of my better pictures.

Mountain. Friend just got back from Disneyland, so I felt this was appropriate.

So like I've mentioned before, I've experimented with throwing really irrelevant stuff in my drawings. I don't think any of them work as well as Ignoring Hitler, but some have led to amusing drawings. Here are some of the results.

 So apparently drawing pictures of Hitler was a pretty big hit, so I continued to do it for a bit.

Thing is, Ignore Hitler is someone else's meme. I want do stuff that's original. So I've been looking for irrelevant things to put in my drawings.

I still play Draw Something, but I have so many games going these days that I probably won't get back to your pictures for a little while. Sad, I know.
